About Vitality
In 1999, Holly Booth set out on a journey to make health and wellness a vital component of the Town of Kemptville. Vitality Fitness for Her, a women’s only gym, situated in the “red barn” on Highway #43 W was opened for business on Nov 11, 1999.
As the community became more cognizant of the benefits of exercise and its contribution to the prevention of illness, more women became determined to join Holly on her health and wellness journey.
Before long, Vitality Fitness For Her outgrew its location within the red barn. Holly elected to expand Vitality, and relocated her growing business to the South Gower Industrial Park, off Highway 43 E, at South Gower Drive. Within 6 months, additional space was leased. Within 2 years, the members had helped Holly triple the size of the facility.
Vitality Fitness For Her remained a women’s only gym until the end of 2006. Questions arose frequently as to whether Vitality Fitness For Her might consider becoming a co-ed facility.
In January 2007, Vitality Fitness For Her once again expanded, and began welcoming gentlemen as members. To facilitate the change, the business name was changed to Vitality Fitness Training Inc. With this latest expansion, Holly entered into a business partnership with her long time fitness pal (and cousin through marriage) Kurt Gebhardt, and a new journey began.
Business continued to prosper: Vitality Fitness Training Inc. once again needed to find a new location with additional square footage! A move to Old Town Kemptville would provide Holly and Kurt the opportunity to reach out to a more diverse demographic of community members, looking for assistance with their own personal fitness goals.
On September 2, 2008, Vitality Fitness Training Inc. opened its new doors at 24 Prescott St., in Old Town Kemptville.
As there is strength in numbers, Old Town Kemptville’s fitness community continues to grow: more people are becoming aware of the requirement to respect and take care of their bodies – after all, we do only get one!
Vitality Fitness Training Inc. prides itself on being unique. Although still considered a small facility, in comparison to larger fitness chains, we offer our members a quiet, infinitely more personal, social environment, where mere acquaintances often develop into true friendships among our clientele.
Vitality Fitness Training Inc. mainly attracts professional, middle-class clientele, looking not only to improve their fitness level, but also to contribute to the community spirit of Old Town Kemptville, by keeping their membership local, adding to Kemptville’s growing appeal.
